A release group clashes with the live article
Docmunk shows “Live changed underneath” when a release group holds edits to an article, and a publish then changed the same words on the live article. Docmunk can't tell which words the group should keep, so it asks you.
Until someone answers, the group stays back when it is due. It goes out once the clash is answered.
1. Open the comparison
On Changes, under To review, find the article under “Live changed underneath” and select Compare. The article opens with the comparison.
You can also start from the article: while you look at the group's version, select Compare in the strip above the text.
2. Pick the words the group keeps
The comparison shows each place where both changed the same words, in three panes:
- Written against: the live words when the group's edit was written.
- Live now: the live words today, with the change marked.
- The group's name: the words the group publishes.
Then choose one answer for all these places in the article:
- Keep Fall launch's words, with your group's name: the group publishes its own words there. Pick this when the group's words are the newer ones, such as a rename that ships with the group.
- Use the live words: the group takes the live words there. Pick this when the live change is a fix the group needs too.
- Decide later: closes the comparison. The group stays back until someone answers.
Docmunk adds the live change to the group's words everywhere else by itself. Only the places where both changed the same words need you.
If the comparison says new words for the group are proposed in Edits, answer those too. See Review proposed edits.
3. Mark the article ready again
If your answer changed the group's words, the article loses its Ready mark in the group. On the article, select Publish later and pick the group under Release group.
